Hey, just a quick note to tell you that I'm really busy with school. 9 days left to this semester and I'll be on vacations for 5 weeks. Can't wait! I have so much work to do until the vacations, so expect some updates only after I'm done with all those exams. Talk to you soon!

Hey guys! Sorry for this long absence, I had so many things I wanted to figure out... It's quite late now and I start school early tomorrow, so I'll comment everyone tomorrow night. I wanted to blog right now though, because I feel like I'm ready to come back on my site. Before talking to you about my life, I needed to spend some time alone to figure it all out. How could I talk about something I didn't even understand myself anymore? I had some important questions concerning my future, some about university and others about a secret dream I've had for a while. I talked about it to some people I trust or whom I know would give me some honest feedback. You know when you really want something but are not sure how to get it or if it would work out? Well it's been torturing me for a while now... Should I talk about it or not, is it crazy, can I do this, etc, etc. I'd like to become a model. Here, I said it. Not as a career, I still want to become a software engineer. (Who said models couldn't be scientific too?) I'm 17, I'm 5'8'' and a half, I weigh a 100 lbs and I'm naturally skinny. Will it work out, I don't know. But I'll try. At least I won't have regrets later. If it doesn't work out, too bad, but at least I know I tried! I haven't talked about it to my parents yet, I don't know how they will react. I'll wait until I'm 18 to visit agencies, for the moment I'll focus on taking some pictures and getting better, plus making money to make a portfolio. I really need to work on my self-confidence though. I think it's the key to make good shots. I need to believe in myself for this dream to come true so others believe in me too! I'm wondering, do you guys ever had a crazy dream? Did it come true or not? Why?

Good news! I won this prestigious price I worked so hard for in high school! I'm just going to copy-paste a description from Wikipedia, it's going to be easier than trying to translate everything: "The Governor General's Academic Medal is awarded to the student graduating with the highest grade point average from a Canadian high school, college or university program." I was so happy when I received a letter from my high school, opened it and saw that I won! :D I wasn't expecting it anymore, since I graduated from school four months ago... So yeah, one of my dream came true! :) I'll receive the price in January though, it's in a while but I can wait... ;)

Dare to dream and believe in your dreams, they might come true, you never know! :)
Sweet dreams everyone!

10/10/09: LAYOUT CHANGE AT THE MOMENT. SORRY FOR THE INCONVENIENT.

Quick blog! Sorry for the lack of blogging, I have two huge maths exams coming up on Monday and Tuesday. :O I have two maths classes and in one of these classes, my teacher is very sick, which means that we have a new teacher at the moment. We don't understand anything with him, so we have to learn all by ourselves with the book. Two guys in our class understand because they're genius, so they were nice enough to organize this weekly meeting where they teach us everything that we don't understand. It's so generous of them! I've understood in two hours what I haven't understood in weeks. The worst thing is that the name of the new teacher is on our online schedule! He's going to stay with us. It must be a joke. Seriously, I've always had no problems in maths and now this maths class is a pure nightmare. The new teacher is good in maths, but obviously he doesn't know how to explain things so we can understand them. And now on Tuesday, he told us that we'll have a big exam next Tuesday, so here goes my weekend. I'm having friends over tomorrow night, which was planned weeks ago. This weekend is sure going to be busy. I hope I'll survive and do good in those important exams. Which me luck! :)

Now I'd like to rant about something else that really makes me angry and sad at the same time. Even though we haven't really talked to each other in high school, most girls from my high school going to my cegep talk to me or say hi and smile at me. However, I've seen a lot of people from elementary school in the past weeks and those girls are acting so rude! They pretend they haven't seen me and are just plainly ignoring me. In my head I was thinking "Huh hello?! I'm not stupid, I know you have seen me. You're just too cool for school now? Not even recognizing my presence, how sweet of you!". Of course, there are some nice people from elementary school that we're like "Hey, what a coincidence seeing you here! It's been such a long time! How are you? How's school?". Obviously, what I remember the most is those b*tches acting like I wasn't even worth giving a look at. I wonder if those people have feelings or just don't care of hurting others. I guess I shouldn't give a damn, right? :(

It feels good writing down all my frustration! I rarely right rant blogs but I really needed to. I'll return comments when I'll have time. ;)

Hey guys, sorry for the 2 weeks without blogging! I had a social life in "real" life, which is really nice one in a while, you know, hehe! ;)

- On Friday, I spent a lovely evening at my friend's house. We were three: her, me and another of my high school close friend. So nice seeing them! :)

- On Saturday, I did an hour and a half shopping spree and bought those 4 tops. I love them! Cute, comfortable, good quality and not so expensive. What more can I ask for? ;) I got the first one at Garage, the second one at Simons, the third one at Garage as well and the fourth one at Jacob Connexion. Those are all Canadian shops, so that's why you might not know about them. I was so glad to go back to Garage! I had stopped going there because the last time I went there were many 8-10 year old girls and it really pissed me off since I'm 17. Just look at the models on the website, they're around 15-18, not freaking 8. I think the company noticed the problem and changed the sizes of the clothes, because the girls were older this time. Great! :D

- On Sunday, I saw Inglourious Basterds at the movie theater with my guy friend and his girlfriend who happens to be a great friend of mine as well. He told me that I absolutely needed to see that movie and I was curious to see it. Overall, the story was really great and the actors were truly amazing! However, there were only a couple of violent scenes, but those were too intense for my taste. By the way, Brad Pitt isn't the star of the movie, the actor that can speak many languages is the one that really shines.

Quite a busy weekend, eh? Oh wait, I have one more thing to show you. Last weekend, I had fun with my Nikon D50 and I decided to try to do a home photo shoot. Here is my favorite shot, sorry for the black rectangle, I want to keep my privacy:

What do you think? I'm personally really proud of the result! ;) If you want to try this at home, it's quite simple! All you need is a tripod, a good camera, a white bed sheet or a white wall and a light source. Find a room with a white wall or stick a white bed sheet on a door. Find a bright light source that you're going to place next to you, to create some cool light and shadow effect. Make sure that the white background is well illuminated as well. Then, adjust the tripod to your height and place the camera on it. Remove the flash since the light is going to provide enough luminosity. My portrait shot was better than the body shots, but you can try both. After, edit the picture on Photoshop. The original one was good, but I played around with the colors and the contrast. Post me your results if you like, I would like to see how it turns out. Have a nice week!

First impressions on cegep

Edit: New blog coming soon -> I did something really cool with my Nikon D50 this weekend and I want really want to show it to you! :D

First of all, thanks to those of you who commented on my last blog about how not to date a girl, you had some really great ideas to add to the list! Some guys would really need a dating guide... :P I'm sorry if the following blog is going to be a little confusing, I have a lot of things to say!

On Monday, it was my first day at my new school, since I finished high school in June. You might remember my blog "Freaking out!", where I told you about how nervous I was about that day. Well, everything went for the best! :D Cegep is so different than high school though! It's a step closer to university. We have much more responsabilities and work. It feels good to be more independant though... :) Also, I don't have to wear a uniform there, which is quite weird considering the fact that I had to wear one for the last 5 years. Another thing that is really different is the transport. No more yellow bus! One bus and two metros now, which takes approximately 50 minutes. Not too bad, but definitely a change. Plus, cegep is so big compared to high school! There are even escalators! :D So many new people too, I feel a little lost in this crowd of strangers. It's nice to meet some people from my high school once and a while. It's funny... We need to remember how to make friends... It's like if I had forgotten how to do that after being in the same school for years. However, the students in my program are really nice, so it's cool! :) We're only 7 girls in our class though! And we're a 33 students group. Yeah... :P So now my dad and my sister are like "Ohhh, so that's why you wanted to go in that program so bad!" -_-' Hahaha, no. Very funny xD The boys are cool though, not the "Girls can't study computer science and maths" kind.

Now, regarding the classes and the teachers. I'm glad I used ratemyteachers.com to choose my teachers, because most of them are really cool and love to teach! :D My favorite class (you won't exactly be surprised) is computer science. We're learning Java right now, well, the basics. I had done a little bit of programming in the past, and it has been helpful for this class. Computer science homework, that's like a dream! Imagine, I'll be "obligated" to go on the computer, how cool? :D Two maths classes and no history, that's great too. I also have French, philosophy and physical education (swimming class).

On Friday, I had this 4 hours break and my friends were in their classes, so I went alone outside to eat. It was sunny and the view on Montreal was beautiful! :) Then, this nice girl who was in her second year of cegep went to me and asked if she could help me, since I was struggling to open something in my lunch for a couple of minutes now. Of course, as those things always happen to me, she was able to open it on the first try. >_< She stayed there and we talked, she asked me what I thought about cegep so far, etc. It was really nice of her and I felt really welcomed in my new school. I'm a bit tired from this big week, but I can't wait to go back on Monday! :D

Yeah… So now my dad and my sister are like “Ohhh, so that’s why you wanted to go in that program so bad!” -_-’ Hahaha, no. Very funny xD The boys are cool though, not the “Girls can’t study computer science and maths” kind.

Now, regarding the classes and the teachers. I’m glad I used ratemyteachers.com to choose my teachers, because most of them are really cool and love to teach! My favorite class (you won’t exactly be surprised) is computer science. We’re learning Java right now, well, the basics. I had done a little bit of programming in the past, and it has been helpful for this class. Computer science homework, that’s like a dream! Imagine, I’ll be “obligated” to go on the computer, how cool? Two maths classes and no history, that’s great too. I also have French, philosophy and physical education (swimming class).

On Friday, I had this 4 hours break and my friends were in their classes, so I went alone outside to eat. It was sunny and the view on Montreal was beautiful! Then, this nice girl who was in her second year of cegep went to me and asked if she could help me, since I was struggling to open something in my lunch for a couple of minutes now.

How not to date a girl

Updates: Major clean up! I improved my portfolio (deleted some stuff, added past layouts, added new art), deleted old links, fixed broken images, updated my "about me" page. I also fixed the IE bug with this layout. Finally, I wrote an helpful article about buying a domain. Check it out here! :)

I usually write life-related blogs, but I saw something on Facebook this afternoon that absolutely horrified me and I feel the need to share it with you. Guys, pay attention. Girls, I invite you to share similar experiences in the comments. ;) Ok, so there is this guy whom I know from high school that added me on MSN a couple of months ago and on Facebook more recently. At first, I thought he was sweet and everything, but then I realized that he was really desperate. He asked me twice some not very subtle questions about prom in June and then I learned that he tried to flirt with many girls, some of them among my friends! Girls speak to each other you know... I think he had a list or something... O_o I wonder which number I was... Thanks a lot. Then, I looked at his Facebook and saw that he had hundreds of friends, most of them being girls he doesn't even know or talk to. Those girls left messages on his Facebook like "Do I know you?" and he replied like "No, why?". He added girls his age and a lot of younger ones too. Ewww. On his Facebook, he asks girls he doesn't even speak to "Hey, what's up?"... There are also tons of "Are you interested?" (Facebook application) updates. By the way, this guy could find a girlfriend easily. He does many activities and he's sweet. He just does it the wrong way and I find his technique absolutely repulsive.

So, here's my list of how not to date a girl:

#1 Tell the girl that your first choice for prom was her friend, but she didn't want to...
#2 Make sure she knows you're flirting with many girls.
#3 Make her feel like meat or a random number on your list.
#4 If you actually managed to date a girl, still continue to post your speed dating updates on your Facebook.
#5 Oh and inform everyone that you're looking for woman, relationship, date, in your profile info.
#6 Tell her that your best friend's girlfriend is mad hot and that you wish you had a girl like her. (Sierra)
#7 Tell her that you were staring at her while she’s sleeping. (Susan
#8 Text her 938493 times, and still text her even if she didn't reply. (Charley

Any ideas to complete the list? Add them in the comments and I'll update the list! :)

Note: I'm trying to fix the IE bug with the layout. Thanks Stef and Charley for reporting it!

Updates: new layout, revamped sidebar with Twitter and new t-shirt designs, shop page with tips before purchasing

Ahhhhhhh! I'm freaking out! I finished high school in June and now I'll be starting cegep on August 24th. I should be happy, right? Finally studying computer science and maths, what really interests me. I'm quite stressed out though. I've had trouble sleeping for days now... Falling asleep around 2:00 a.m. is really awkward. I hope I'll be able to chill out soon. Why am I so nervous? I don't know... New school, new friends, I guess. Oh and another major problem: the physical education class. See, I thought that the class I took was like this exercise thing pregnant ladies do in water, except a little more intense, of course. I thought that for once in my life, I'd actually enjoy the class! :p Thing is, I received a detailed email concerning the content of the class and it's going to be much more harder than I thought it would be. I enjoy swimming, but I'm far for being a pro. Plus, due to a surgery I had last year, I didn't do any major exercise for a whole year. I've started training in my swimming pool to meet the requirements and I'm progressing well. However, I don't think I'm enough trained to do the Cooper test where I'll have to swim as much as possible during 12 minutes. It's probably going to be hard, but I'll give my 110%! :) There are some written quizzes too, which are hopefully going to help me.

Now for the good news, I've been able to modify my schedule and it looks fab! Starting on Monday morning with computer science, yeah! :) And the best part: my first class will be around 2:15 p.m. on Tuesdays! How cool is that? :D I'm also looking forward to meeting new people and maybe find some new BFF's! TTYS, the sun is shining outside and it's a perfect time for training. (I think I watched way too many episodes of Paris Hilton's my new BFF... :P That show is so addictive!)

EDIT: LAYOUT AND CSS UNDER CONSTRUCTION!

Updates: 2 cool new designs on my t-shirt shop, one is an urban mix tape and the other one is more retro, a mouth saying OMG!

Hey folks, I've been in Quebec city for a couple of days and it was really fun! If you're a Guitar Hero fan, the last song of GH Smash Hits, "Through the fire and flames", takes place there. :D The concept of the game was to show some wonders around the world, like the Amazone forest, Atlantis, etc. So the developers thought Quebec was better than Atlantis? -_-' The developers are from Quebec, by the way. :P To be honest, that city was really beautiful! Probably one of the nicest places I've been to, in terms of architecture. A few words to summarize my trip: beaver tail (I'd die for that dessert right now), fireworks near a waterfall (30 m higher than the Niagara Falls), the Image Mill (the largest projection ever done, 600 feet wide by 30 meters high, and it is on grain silos), Cirque du Soleil (in the streets), restaurants (I ate so much, my belly was about to explode), Valcartier (super cool water slides). Enough talking, here are the pictures I took using the Nikon D50, without retouching them on Photoshop.

Expect more pictures from now on since a) I created a Flickr account and b) My dad now lets me use his Nikon D50 whenever I want to and I'm learning all the complex stuff like aperture, depth of field and all that jazz.

Hello everyone, good news! Let me present you Dynamite-Design's clothing line called at0mik. :D After a lot of efforts, I managed to set up two t-shirts shops. Same designs but different products, prices and locations. Here they are:

http://www.redbubble.com/people/at0mik
http://at0mik.wordans.com

I thought about giving you some advice if you want to buy something. Since there are two shops, here are some things you might want to consider:
- Both are using American Apparel but Wordans also use Bella. I really recommend you to visit American Apparel or Bella's online store to check out what the models and colors look like in real life, on a real person. The complete sizing info is also available there.
- RedBubble offers 4 basic models of shirt but 22 colors for each of those models. Wordans offers various styles (v-neck, crew neck, tank top, etc.) and more vibrant colors.
- RedBubble is an Australian company and Wordans is located in Montreal, Canada. Considering where you live, check out the cost of shipping.

By the way, what took me so long was reading pages and pages of contracts, terms of use and reviews of about 20 websites before choosing those two. Some people wouldn't care selling you crap, as long as they would make money. This disgusts me. I truly want the best for you, the customer, and me, the designer. :) That's why I'm offering you excellent printing on quality brands clothes.

If you haven't visited the shop yet, what are you waiting for? :D Feedback would be appreciated too. Which design do you prefer? I tried different styles to test the market. Your opinion will help me to orientate my style. Thanks in advance!

Edit: Sorry, technical problem. Before I can post a design on the website for my shop, it needs to be approved by someone, apparently within 24 hours. I've been waiting for 2 or 3 days now, so hopefully it should be up soon. It's only one design but it's my favorite one! :) I'll be in Ottawa for the weekend. Ttyl!

Hey guys, just a quick note. I'm currently customizing the look of my brand new t-shirt shop! I spent ages visiting all the possible t-shirt design sites to offer you only the best. Quality fabric and very good printing quality :) I will give out the url of the shop soon, so stay tuned!

Fewww, I'm prettty tired from all that partying and going to bed too late... or early, depending on how you see things... :P I must admit that I wanted to relax after such a busy year of school, so I pretty much spent the past two weeks outside, chilling in my pool with the radio on! I hope you'll forgive me, hehe xD Good news though, I've worked on something I've been thinking about for a few months now: designing t-shirts. There are a couple of very good sites where I could sell my artwork but I want to create a nice collection of vectors first. I'll sure give you a link when my shop will be opened on one of those sites and I'll post some of my best work. Oh and the horror movies reviews page is doing good, I just want to add the reviews for "The Exorcist" and "Saw III", which were really good but creeeepy! Enough said now, let's talk about prom! :D

To be honest, prom was really different from what I was imagining as a child! A couple of years ago, I thought I'd be arriving at prom in a limo, followed by a lovely gentleman. Yeah... right xD I went solo, like many people, and my friends and I arrived in a van, haha xD But it was still a lot of fun! Just not your typical Hollywood movie kind of prom! What was the coolest part was the before-prom preparation. Dress, make-up, hair, etc, etc! There were so many things to remember though, it was insane! Legs and armpits shaving (looking like a Yeti wouldn't have been too cool xD), eyebrows plucking, skin cleaning, what to bring in the purse, trying to fit everything in the purse -_- , awww man. Few! Trying to walk with high heels that are too high was also a challenge. My feet were shaking at first and I was praying that there wouldn't be textured carpet at the hotel. A few America's Next Top Model catwalks in front of my mirror later, I managed to walk correctly! Next on the list was the paparazzi attack... :) I felt like a star on the red carpet with all the parents taking pictures! :D Now, about prom itself... The hotel was nice and the meal was delicious but I especially enjoyed dancing! The DJ was awesome and there we're videoclips too! :) Seeing everyone looking so nice was amazing and overall it was a lovely evening! Oh, I forgot to mention it, but it was supposed to rain all day but it didn't! Only a little and we were ok for the pictures! I think I have a guardian angel! :D

The after-prom. Nah, I didn't go. I've seen the pictures on Facebook and I don't regret it at all. Mosquito bites and people getting drunk in some creepy woods? No thanks, I'll pass! Instead my friends and I had a fun night together, consisting of games, movies and dancing. Cool! :)

I'm feeling tired, I'll go to bed and comment everyone tomorrow, ok? No excuse since there are no school or exams anymore! Hehe ^^

Hey guys, I'm officially back! :)

Ahhh, vacations, finally! My final exams went well, and I got 100% on my maths exam, woohoo! Even though it's summer time, I must admit I'm both happy and sad now. My last day of school was also my last day of high school... I'm already feeling nostalgic! I really enjoyed the time I spent there, my friends, the teachers, everything. The past two weeks were quite special for us, the secondary 5 students. Let me tell you about it!

On June 10th, it was the graduation ceremony. We received our diplomas, even though school wasn't over yet. Don't ask xD Then, there were some amazing performances by the students, including a rock band, a dance choreography, some African songs, etc. Between the performances, there were many awards and prizes given. I received 10 mentions regarding my academic results and I got a standing ovation, it was really nice! I was expecting a "what a geek" type of reaction but I got an ovation instead! :) At the end of the evening, there were of course too much tears and hugs... Surprisingly, I only cried a little, I thought I would have been crying like a baby, hehe! :P Seeing all my classmates in graduate gowns and thinking that there is so little time left before we all go on our own way is a really emotional moment...

On June 11th, it was my birthday but I did nothing special, since I had a maths exam the day after. I already received my main birthday present a while ago (my cellphone) but my sister gave me that gorgeous Roxy bag! :D

On June 15th, we ran outside around the school, which is a tradition. When I was younger, I imagined myself running proudly, not walking after half of the run, but hey... I wasn't the only one xD We received our albums later and exchanged them to write each other some lovely words.

On June 19th, I opened the door and walked out of the school for the very last time. I waited for the bus to come, then I looked through the window and took a last look at my past. Game over.

As you may have noticed, I haven't been really active on this site lately. I have to study for three regular exams and seven final exams, which is a lot! That includes three hours exams in maths, chemistry and physics... I will be back on June 19th, when all my exams will be done. Until then, I won't be able to reply to any new comment. Thank you for your comprehension! :)

Hey guys! I got back from my school trip to New York a couple of days ago and it was really amazing! :D I took tons of pictures, since my dad allowed me to use his fantastic and oh so precious (= if I don't bring it back I'm dead) Nikon camera. Those three days in NY were really fun, but also really intense because we had so many things to visit. I won't be able to write about all of those attractions, so I'll only talk about the ones I loved the most. :)

Any Gossip Girl fan here? The hotel on the first picture is Serena's hotel! We saw it when we were taking a look at some of the Big Apple's most important buildings. In the end of the afternoon, we went to Times Square. It was so special! All those people, yellow cabs, lights, banners, shops, tall buildings... It really impressed me. I felt so small in such a huge crowd... A little anecdote now. If you take a closer look at the second picture, at the bottom left, you'll see that there is a random guy with sunglasses selling Obama condoms. This was so hilarious! Every 5 seconds, he'd scream "Oooobama condoms! Ooobama condoms, for a hard, hard time!" The funniest part was probably when a smaller guy passed by and the dude started yelling "Smallest size also available!" Hahaha :P

On the second day, we went to Central Park and it was so beautiful and refreshing! We couldn't hear the noise from the city anymore and we could just walk and enjoy the nature. It was fantastic, especially what seemed like an infinite path bordered with trees melting in the middle. After, we went to Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum. The celebrities looked so real and it was really nice to take pictures next to them. In the evening, we saw an incredible show that combined music, multimedia and comedy: Blue Man Group. You have to check them out here, they're just too awesome!

On the last day, we went on a cruise to take a look at the Liberty statue. It was really windy, but at least it wasn't raining. The statue was really impressive! Then, we went to Chinatown. There were all these little shops selling fake/stolen items from well-known brands. It was a little creepy, but it was still funny to hear those people in the street: "Prrrada, Gucci! Prrrada!" In one of the shops, there were tons of Lacoste polos. One of them still had the original price tag and plastic wrapping on, which means that it was probably stolen. I didn't buy anything there... We preferred to go back to Soho, where there were some cool (and legal) shops. I bought this gorgeous short black dress (which can also be a top) in this boutique where there were tons and tons of original and cheap dresses! :D Of course, we went shopping a lot the other days too! :) I bought this super comfortable "New York" sweatshirt, some big sunglasses and some handcrafted earrings that were made using pink hydrangea flowers. I was sad that the trip was over, but it was a lot of fun! :)

Updates: new layout, do you like it? :) Check out the footer too! The MythBusters project isn't finished yet, I'll post the answers to the myths when people will present their work in a couple of weeks. (It's nearly midnight, so I'll comment my affies tomorrow morning, just so you know I didn't forget you!)

Ok, first of all, I want to apologize for not blogging earlier. Also, I don't think I am going to be able to return all the comments you left on the previous blogs, sorry... :( I don't want a depressing blog, so I'll start with the positive part first and if you want to know why I needed to spend some time apart from my site, read the second part after.

This week has been really better than the previous ones. I had that French exam that was probably the most important exam I ever had... and it went really good! :D I also got 97% in physics, yeah! Oh and I received a very early birthday present today! A cell phone! :D Let's just say that I was very surprised, since my birthday is like in a month! :P It's so cool and pretty, it's a blue square Samsung! You can check it out here. Isn't it so cute? I have unlimited text messages too, which is awesome! Now you must be wondering why my parents would give me my birthday present so early... Well, I forgot to tell you guys, but I'm going to New York with school next weekend! :D How cool, eh? It's going to be so much fun, I'll post pictures of the trip after. I'm so excited to see that iconic city and its yellow cabs! So yeah, my parents thought the cell phone could be useful there, so that's why I got it earlier. Ahhh, I can't wait to see the Liberty statue and go shopping, of course!

Why didn't I blog for more than two weeks? I really needed some time to evacuate the stress, the sadness and the frustration. I had some really important exams during the past weeks, so I stayed up late to study. Falling asleep was very hard. Normal people would count 1 sheep, 2 sheeps, 3 sheeps... I counted cos π/6 sheep, sin 0 sheep, etc. Trigonometry exam on the next day, you get it. xD Anyway, so not having enough sleep made me drink iced tea at 8 a.m. in the morning, lose a bit of weight (like I needed that...) and want to smash my alarm-clock with a baseball bat. The lack of sleep also affected my mood: one day I'd be happy, the other I'd be depressed. A couple of deceptions made me really feel like a loser: I thought I'd get a super good mark on some exams I studied really hard for and got good (minus the super) marks only (I'm perfectionist like that) and I wasn't even selected in the finalists for the drawing contest at school, even though I spent about 10 hours on my drawing and I thought it was nice (all made on Illustrator and Photoshop). I know it sounds stupid, but I invested so much time and hard work into those things for what? Nothing. Talking about it just made me feel better. ;)

Blog questions:
1) Do you have a cell phone?
2) How old are you?
3) Is there a shop I really need to visit in New York? :D

I know it sounds stupid, but I invested so much time and hard work into those things for what? Nothing. Talking about it just made me feel better. ;)

Blog questions:
1) Do you have a cell phone?
2) How old are you?
3) Is there a shop I really need to visit in New York?

Edit (May 1st): Making a new layout. Blog coming soon.
Edit (26/04): BRB. Busy weekend... I'll reply to your comments, affies and visitors, ASAP.

Hey guys, I totally forgot to tell you something super important in my last blog! On April 2nd, I finally received this letter I have been waiting for ages to arrive: the answer from the cegep I applied to. (For those of you who don't know what cegep is, it's a type of school we have here in Quebec. It's right after high school and before university.) I was so excited to open the letter! Guess what? I got in! :D The program I've chosen is computer sciences and maths, by the way! :) I'm really looking forward to next year, it's going to be awesome!

Now, about the title of this blog... Since I'm in the IB or international program, we have this really cool project we have to do! It's inspired by the TV show MythBusters, which consists of proving scientifically if a popular myth is true or false. For the project, we're in teams of 5-6 people and we'll have to make a short movie demonstrating why we think the myth is true or false. We'll have to hand in a written report and we'll also be judged on our imagination. So, eight teams will be competing and there can only be one winner... There are going to be two teams per myth. Ok, you're probably wondering what are the four myths... Here they are! I hope I remembered them all correctly... Some of them are from real episodes of MythBusters.

1) If you play golf and the ball hits a tree, will it go through?
2) Is it better to walk or to run in the rain?
3) Does Mighty Putty (that "marvellous" substance that can fix anything and even pull a truck) really work?
4) Does turning a light on and off many times affects the life of the light bulb?

I'll have to bust the fourth one! :) I'm curious, tell me what you think for all of them!

I got tagged by the lovely Kisslin! There were way too many questions, so I only kept the most interesting ones. I tag all of my affies! If you want to see the complete set of questions, check out Kisslin's blog.

Why did you choose (your site's name)?:
Answer: I wanted a name that would "pop" and sound dynamic!

Who is your favorite friend online? Why?:
Answer: Ida, who I've been chatting with for many years and who taught me many things about web-design ^^

Who is your favorite chatmate?:
Answer: My cousin Stefany, who I can talk to for hours on MSN!

Where did you come from (country)?
Answer: Canada.

How many languages can you speak? What are they?:
Answer: French, English and a bit of Spanish.

What is your hairstyle?
Answer: Medium lenght and wavy when I don't flatten my hair.

What is your beauty style?:
Answer: Natural make-up.

What is your clothing style?
Answer: Jeans and t-shirt at home. Sort of chic but comfortable elsewhere.

Have a nice week! I'll be really busy this weekend, but I'll try to return comments and comment all my affies ASAP. Thanks for your patience ^^

Updates: you might had trouble accessing the site this week, my host sent me an email about it, it should be all fixed now. Also, I finally got rid of that nasty spam in the forum! :)

Edit (10/04/09): Happy Easter everyone! :D I'll be celebrating for a couple of days, talk to you later!

Hey guys, sorry that you had to wait for so long for the blog about my vacations... I wasn't at all in the mood to write a blog. :( I got a bit depressed and I was wondering what was wrong with me, until I realized that those negative thoughts all started when we read that book for school. That novel, even though it was really great, was very heavy emotionally speaking. Just as an example, the narrator, who is a 10-year-old boy psychologically troubled, says that he feels like playing Lego on the highway. It was beautifully written, but it really affected me. As I said, I didn't realize at first that it was the cause of my dark thoughts, so I hope that you understand why I needed to spend some time away to clear my mind.

On a lighter note, here are some pictures from last month, when I was in Cayman Islands! I had such a good time! I met my friends from Norway I've been speaking to on MSN for about 3 years, which was absolutely fantastic! Seeing them "live" and not virtually was really special. It was weird and magic at the same time! Weird in the sense of "I can't believe it it's happening", of course! I will remember those days we spent together forever, it was such a beautiful moment! We walked on the beach, went to the restaurant, played in the water, talked and took tons of pictures and videos! One of the other things we did together was going to the Turtle Farm. We took those cute turtles in our hands! So adorable! Below is a picture of one in my mom's hands. We also saw this nice lizard! There are a lot of lizards in Cayman Islands, by the way! And chickens on the loose too... That's kind of huh... strange!

We were staying in this lovely unit and we had such a beautiful view! You can see on the pictures the huge and amazing pool of the hotel and of course, the beach, the ocean, the palmtrees... :) I really miss those things!

The picture below is me looking at the ocean, in black and white. It is the only Photoshopped picture, by the way. Oh and if you're wondering, yes, the picture on my layout was taking in Cayman too.

I was expecting this blog to be longer, but I have a ton of comments to return and a life to enjoy! :D

Edit: I'll post my vacations blog soon and I'll try to reply to comments ASAP. Thank you for your patience :)

Hey guys, sorry for not posting a blog earlier, I came back from vacations a while ago, but I got tons of exams for the first two weeks after March Break! Of course, I didn't bring all my stuff to study since I was on the beach, so I had to catch up after. I thought I was going to blog at the beginning of this week, but I got sort of sick. I say sort of, since I thought I was sick, but I only figured out near the end of the week that my headache and sleepiness were only due to allergies. The snow is melting, so I'm exposed to mildew and it causes my nose to itch a lot and it gives me headaches too... :( I'm taking allergies pills now, so I'm feeling great! :) I'll try to return the comments and affies requests ASAP, by the way.

You can see that I updated the layout, which is a sneak peak of my vacations in Cayman Islands. My next blog which should be really soon will include pictures of my trip and all the things I did there! It's partly written, but I need to add a couple of things before I post it, so make sure to check out in the middle of the week for this! For now, I'm going to write about my fantastic weekend!

On Friday, my cousin Stef came to Montreal for a very special event. Her, my sister and I went together to see Britney Spears' Circus Tour! It was totally awesome! I would say as awesome as Madonna's concert! Madonna's tour was REALLY something by the way and she's my favorite artist, so Brit's show really rocked! The Pussycat Dolls were the first part of the concert and they were really fantastic! They weren't dressed like strippers, which is a good point. Sexy as ever, of course, but it was cool! They danced and sang their heart out on every song! :D The legendary Mrs. Britney Spears came just after and damn was she good! :D I can tell you, the girl is back on track! She was so sexy and fit! She sang and danced really well! There was this whole beautiful circus decor and some incredible performances of gymnasts, clowns, etc. The atmosphere was electrifying! We really had great tickets, we could see the faces of the Pussycat Dolls and Brit too! We were a couple of rows above where the artists leave the stage, so we saw their faces like really close, it was so cool! That night was really amazing and I bought that "You're a womanizer" t-shirt as a souvenir.

On Saturday, we went to the movies and saw Knowing, that suspense movie with Nicolas Cage. It's about a time capsule opened in 2009 filled with drawings drew 50 years ago by students of the same school. While the other children receive drawings of spaceships or futuristic cars, the son of the main character receives a sheet completely covered with numbers. His dad takes a look at it and discovers something quite interesting... The numbers aren't as random as it looks. There is a sequence, they mean something. It will lead him and his son in a big adventure! Ok, go and see the movie to see what happens next, I don't want to tell a spoiler. I must admit, we were really scared sometimes! There were some creepy parts... It was really great though, I recommend it! The actors were good, especially the spooky little girl, but I won't say more...

Overall, my weekend was really great!
