History

I came up with the idea of creating my own website when I saw that my friend Ida was owning a beautiful site. At that time, I knew nothing about web-designing: no HTML skills, no graphic skills. However, I had determination and ambition. In 2006, I made a Piczo site called BlueAngelFish. I didn't use any glitters, dolls or flashy images, but I had a bright green font against a black background. It was ugly, but I was still learning. Then, I decided to use some beautiful layouts from Celestial Star. Instead of copying and pasting the code of the layout on my site, I analyzed it and tried to understand. That's how I learned the basics of HTML. One day, my cousin lend me her Photoshop software. There were so many tools, I was completely lost! After following a couple of tutorials, I was able to make some graphics that I thought were good, but were quite horrible. With some practice, I got better. I was able to make some average manga and celebrities layouts. My site was also featured in the Piczo Pros, so it became very popular and I was overwhelmed by requests... I decided to close the request section after a while, because I was tired of making Ashley Tisdale and Vanessa Hudgens blends over and over again without having the feeling of learning something. So, after less than a year, I got tired of Piczo.

That's when I decided to create a Freewebs site that was called Dynamite-Designs. My Photoshop skills were then much better and I was able to make some quality celebrities layouts. With Ida's help, I learned how to use CSS and IFrames. I improved my web-design skills and I was ready for something more challenging. My wish was granted!

One day, Ida asked me if I wanted a sub-domain! I accepted happily and, with her help, I opened my own sub-domain! She teached me how to use Cutenews, FTP, etc. It was a big challenge, but not as much as what she told me after. Let me explain... Ida told me about copyright laws and how using celebrities pictures was illegal. So, I decided that I was going to use my own pictures. I'm so glad that I did! Dynamite was more personal, because I used pictures or drawings that meant something to me, that were associated to a happy moment of my life. Making layouts with those pictures was like immortalizing those precious moments and sharing them with you.

In October 2008, I decided that it was time for me to have my own domain. My disk quota had exceed on my sub-domain, Cutenews deleted all my entries and comments and I couldn't install FanUpdate or Wordpress. I needed more space and independance. That's why I bought my own domain! Dynamite-Design is a fresh new start, but also a continuation of my previous site. I will definitely keep my website for a long time. For how long, I don't know, but closing this website would be like deleting a part of my life. I have as much ambition as when I first opened my Piczo site, even more. I have improved a lot since 2006 and I think that I can still improve a lot. Web-designing confirmed my passion for computer science and my dream to become a software engineer.
